They are every bit right in their aspirations, after all you are the person who entrenched the base for coveted RTI Act, was one of the proponents of Janlokpal Bill who led agitation alongside Anna Hazare for the passage of bill. And the most distinguished feat of all, you christened AAP which won 28 out of 70 seats in New Delhi. Your honesty, transparency, and ideology are indeed enthralling and led people to see a messiah in you who can make this great country corruption free.
Mr. Kejriwal, till now, you have left no stone unturned to match what you had promised during elections. With all the work you have done in 25 days as CM there is no denying the fact that you are one of the most active CM India has seen, but the style of your working makes you a bohemian, a nonconformist. You go to office in your Maruti WagonR, when most Indians are content debating in schools and colleges whether a minister's cavalcade should restrict the movement of traffic or not. Whether it is giving junta the power of sting operation for tackling corruption or denying the security cover your unconventional approach to governance can be easily seen, for which you are being criticized.
Indians(humans) are resistant to change, they panic about any unconventional turnout of events. First hand, they are quite averse to the idea of the change that you are trying to bring about in the system which is 65 years old. They expected you to work more in a precedential style in which politicians have worked till date. They never expected a dharna against the non compliant police (which Ex CM Sheila Dixit complained about regularly) or a law minister patrolling streets, shepherding law and order.
These eccentric moves though in tandem with public welfare drew criticism from all sides as people did not understand the "WHY" behind these steps. A person will easily empathize with you if he watches your explanation to the recent controversies on the TV interviews you have given, but Mr. Kejriwal, 95% people in this country make their opinion by reading only the headlines.The media which went gaga over your (AAP's) win in Delhi, also started censuring these acts. This sowed the seeds of doubt among common man, leading to the creation of second opinion about AAP.
Besides, from the day the law minister of Delhi paid the infamous visit to the alleged Ugandan settlement of drug trafficking and prostitution, the financial lifeline of party i.e. amount of online donations took a plunge. It is evident that recent controversies have taken a toll on the image of AAP, which is a precarious situation and needs to be checked as these can lead to an unprecedented opposition to party.
Sir, you need to keep in sync with the reaction of public over your work. You and your party is a trusted brand when it comes to honesty and anti corruption, but you still need to develop trust among masses when it comes to governance and development. If the work of your party fails to impress the common man for which it came into existence, then it would be a daunting task for the party to survive, leaving the reins again in the hands of unscrupulous politicians, failing our dreams of a corruption free India.This should not happen.
Last but not the least, a leader of your stature needs to watch his words, which at times make you sound arrogant and offensive. Admonishing always have room for euphemisms. Young generation is looking up to you and you have a responsibility towards them.
